Massachusetts Paves the Way for New Renewable Energy Developments in the Region

Approval for long-term contracting will drive development, ensure affordability and reliability of clean power sources

Boston – Today the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities approved a process for the state’s largest utilities to enter into long-term contracts for clean energy sources like wind and solar. The move is a critical step towards driving new clean energy development in the region. Massachusetts is the first state in New England to issue such an aggressive plan for bringing clean, renewable energy to the region.
