We Don’t Need New Gas-Fired Power Plants!
Governor Jerry Brown and state regulators are using the San Onofre replacement talks as an excuse to push through a plan to build new gas-fired power plants in Southern California to replace the shuttered San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. Not only will that move us backwards on meeting our climate goals, but it will increase air pollution while costing Southern California utility customers over a billion dollars in direct costs.
Tell Governor Brown and state regulators - just say no to gas-fired power plants!
There’s a much better way forward. Energy conservation and renewables are creating jobs already, cleaning up our air and helping families and business save money on their electric bills. We have a choice. California can continue to lead on clean air and climate protection, or move backwards with new gas-fired power plants that we don’t need nor do we want.
Take action today!
