Community News & Views
Here is the August edition of the Chapter Bulletin. Although August may be vacation time for many, there's still a lot going on, as this month's digest shows. Read on for important dates, opportunities, resources, and deadlines for chapter, group and grassroots leaders. Some information may be new to you, and other items may serve as reminders of information received via other sources. Please share the Bulletin with your fellow leaders -- all Club leaders are welcome to subscribe!
There's still time -- but not much -- to submit an application for a Grassroots Network grants of up to $12,000. Club entities working to engage new people, build new leaders, and win conservation victories are encouraged to apply. We are especially interested in proposals that deal with regional issues, reach out to new communities, promote new or innovative approaches to meeting a conservation goal, and/or could serve as an example that other entities could apply to their own conservation issues.
In July, Chapter Support is offering two new webinars you may be interested in attending. These webinars are aimed toward grassroots leaders at the chapter, group and team levels. If you would like to attend one or both, feel free to RSVP!
