We have scheduled a training on the weekend of July 25th and 26th for the following: OLT101 OLT102 Certified First Aid Water Safety Canoeing The training will take place at Boy Scout Camp Brorien in Odessa. The facilities has hot showers, pre set up frame tents, spring fed lake. The training will start At 9 am on the 25th and end around noon on the 26th. The cost is as follows: Sierra Club Members, $20.00, Non Sierra Club Members, $50.00, We would need a $20.00 deposit to secure your spot....

This Desert Backpacking National Outings Training Trip is designed to train new Sierra Club National Outings leaders in the trip planning and leadership skills necessary to lead safe, happy and inspiring Sierra Club Outings. Each trainee will plan, design and submit their own National Outing in the months prior to the four-day backpacking trip in the Galiuros. Subsequent to the training, trainees are expected to lead a National Outing at least once every other year but ideally once a year.
