Margaret Stephens became a life member of Sierra Club when she started her first full-time job after serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Costa Rica. She grew up in the suburbs of New York, but calls Philadelphia home. Margaret teaches environmental studies at the Community College of Philadelphia. She has led environmentally-themed study abroad programs in Belize and Israel and local service learning conservation initiatives with students. She enjoys the historic and cultural amenities of the city as well as the outdoors.
