Margaret Stephens became a life member of Sierra Club when she started her first full-time job after service with the United States Peace Corps. She grew up in the suburbs of New York and has resided in Philadelphia most of her adult life. She has led environmentally themed study abroad programs in Belize and Israel and local service learning conservation initiatives with college students. She enjoys the historic and cultural amenities of the city as well as outdoor sports and activities.
