Andy Johnson has been backpacking in the High Sierra since 1974, and volunteering as Sierra Club trip staff since 1980. He enjoys sharing high, remote, seldom-seen places with kindred spirits. Apart from backpacking, he enjoys car-camping in the California desert, bicycling, and long motorcycle rides.
