Ann Cocks grew up hiking in the Sierra Nevada and can’t resist the pull of mountains and other wild places. She loves to share the rhythms of the trail and delights in preparing tasty backcountry fare. She especially enjoys how “One touch of nature makes the whole world kin.” (Thanks to Shakespeare for that.) Ann lives in Illinois where she creates writing opportunities for a college access program. She has been leading Sierra Club trips since 2005 and is a certified Wilderness First Responder.
