Barb Davis gained a love for travel when she was an exchange student in Germany. In addition to European countries, Barb has explored Guatemala and Costa Rica. Following years of wilderness backpacking with her family, Barb began leading Sierra Club lodge trips with her husband in 2009 throughout mountain ranges in the western and northwestern U.S. Recently, the uniqueness of each Hawaiian island and the aloha spirit that is present there, has drawn Barb to lead service and lodge trips to the Paradise State. Barb teaches 4th grade in Dubuque, IA and enjoys the rewards of teaching children about science and the natural world. She is the leader of an active environmental club and has been a key player in getting her elementary school recognized as a Green Vision school.
