Barbara Kamm was born in Cape Town, South Africa, and grew up in Lima, Peru. She has traveled to over 80 countries and speaks Spanish fluently. She has led international trips for the Sierra Club since 2005 in Peru, Spain, Mexico, Czech Republic, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Vietnam. She loves history, archaeology, and languages, as well as hiking and wildlife, and is developing a fondness for birding. When not traveling, Barbara was a banker in Silicon Valley, working with the venture capital community and many of their start-up companies.
