Bhakti grew up playing in the forests and along the beaches in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. After graduating from college in Detroit, she moved to Colorado to climb fourteeners (peaks above 14,000 feet elevation) and conquer countless hikes in the Rocky Mountains. In 2016, Bhakti’s life changed forever when she signed up for her first ever backpacking trip with Sierra Club at Pictured Rocks in the Upper Peninsula. She is an author, athlete, artist, dental hygienist, and avid yogini with wilderness first responder training. She currently lives at Yogaville in central Virginia, enjoys vegetarian cooking, creative crafts, building community and finding new depths in her spiritual connection to Mother Nature!
