Bill Flower was fortunate to have outdoor-loving parents who took their family camping, hiking, and exploring every chance they got. He was camping as a toddler and took his first backpack trip – in the Grand Canyon – when he was 11. Bill has been hiking throughout the U.S. and other parts of the world ever since. A real highlight of his year is leading Sierra Club Outings and sharing some wondrous places with Club members. Bill has staffed over 50 trips with Sierra Club Outings, including trips in the Sierra Nevada, the Rockies, and the desert Southwest, as well as international trips in Nepal and Italy. Bill is a certified Wilderness First Responder.
