Whether playing in the back woods of Michigan as a child, backpacking above timberline in the High Sierra mountains of California, skiing the white powder of Utah and Colorado, kayaking in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey, or swimming in some of the many warm springs of Florida, Carol Nelson has been nature's playmate most of her life. She is a Reiki Master and yoga practitioner, and she has completed both wilderness first aid and Sierra Club outdoor leadership training classes. Carol is also an excellent cook; great meals are a given on any outing that she is leading.
