Carolyn Roundey has been a Berkeley resident for 30 plus years where she hikes in the hills as often as she can, especially now that she is retired. Birdwatching and learning to bird by ear have been a passion for some 10 years.
Leading or co-leading trips began about 25 years ago when introduced to sea kayaking trips to Baja (to see whales) and to Puget Sound. After a reintroduction to backpacking on a Sierra Club trip to the Grand Canyon, Carolyn was eager to give back and participate in training trips to become a leader.
