Gillian Bailey is an avid outdoor photographer whose photo adventures led her to rediscover her love of backpacking. In addition to leading with the National Sierra Club, she is also an active leader with the Angeles Chapter and their annual Wilderness Training Course, where she enjoys teaching beginning backpackers new skills. Gillian has led trips in the local mountains of Los Angeles, Joshua Tree, and both the Eastern and Western Sierra. She loves being in nature and helping others discover wild, beautiful places, believing the connection with the natural world will encourage hikers to become environmental stewards.
