Glenn Gillis has been a Sierra Club national outings guide for over 25 years. Starting his outdoor career with Outward Bound, he leads backpacking, bicycle touring, and kayaking trips for the Sierra Club, Appalachian Mountain Club, and Potomac Pedalers Touring Club. With a major involvement in new park and trail creation in Virginia, Glenn is active with the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club and Potomac Heritage Trail Association. He is currently working on the completion of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail.
