Gloria Amaral is a native of the Big Island of Hawaii -- formerly of Hilo, but now a resident of Volcano Village, five minutes from Hawaii’s Volcano National Park. She has led three national outings and has been a participant on numerous mainland outings. Her main interests are hiking and Hawaii’s natural history, especially botany. She is an excellent resource on all things Hawaiian.
