Herb Wolff

Herb Wolff

Herb Wolff is a lifetime member of the Sierra Club. He participated in more than ten Sierra Club national outings before becoming an outings leader. He has since led many outings in the Northeast, mostly basecamp service outings, in oceanside, bayside, mountain, farm, island, and urban settings. He and his spouse, Sandy (also an outings leader), now live in their ideal 'natural' setting, a small, friendly waterfront community bounded by two thriving wetlands, small forests, and a beach on the Chesapeake Bay, all within a mere six miles of their three grandchildren!

Herb is also a Conservation Officer for the Sierra Club's Northeast Outings group. Ironically, his conservation awareness was elevated during an Adirondacks outing by two participants, both bioscientists, who motivated him to study and advocate for nature. His education and experience in large communication software systems provided him with additional insight for understanding the interdependent communications, cooperation and mind of nature. His study and advocacy continues, nearly seven years later; nary a day passes without some awe of life.
