John Blaustein has applied his years of hiking and backpacking in the western United States to leading trips nationally and internationally for the Sierra Club. Among the many challenges of leading trips, maximizing the enjoyment of the Group, while satisfying individual desires, is always a focus of leading trips. Bringing the “wilderness experience” to participants is particularly satisfying to this leader. When not practicing medicine in Santa Barbara, John enjoys downhill skiing, road cycling, sailing, and working out.
