Larry Hughes started leading for Sierra Club Outings in 2014. He has been hiking, backpacking and trekking since the 1980’s. He has led and organized trips to the Sierra Nevada, the Rocky Mountains, the Grand Canyon, the Alps and Nepal. A certified Wilderness First Responder, Larry is a retired software engineer and mathematician who lives with his wife, Lolina Alvarez and their dog Lily, in Santa Fe, NM.
