Laura Bonds-Johnson

Laura Bonds-Johnson spent memorable parts of her childhood playing with banana slugs and exploring redwood forests of the Santa Cruz Mountains and tropical rainforests of Hawaii. Laura returned to the California Bay Area as an adult and discovered backpacking and the wilderness with the Sierra Club. Laura’s hobby of backpacking in the Sierra Nevada, Rocky Mountains, and slickrock canyons of the Southwest evolved into a quest for conservation activism and outdoor leadership. Cultural, historical, and environmental exploration of the world is a dream realized for this wannabe world adventurer as Laura also leads international Sierra Club trips. Laura is a Registered Nurse and wilderness first responder and resides in Evergreen, Colorado.
