Lauren Tackbary works for Sierra Club National and also volunteers as an outings leader, leading hikes and backpacking trips in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Lauren is an avid hiker, backpacker, backcountry skier and naturalist, learning about the biodiversity of the Sierra’s through wildflowers, fungi and flora. She is passionate about sustainability running a solar powered homestead in Grass Valley, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and is active in her local Sierra Club group, helping to build community and support for conservation and recreation initiatives.
