Leo “Mac” McNeil has lived most of his life in the Midwest. One of his goals as he was planning for retirement was to volunteer in America's western national parks and wilderness areas. Since retiring in mid-2012, Mac has volunteered with the Sierra Club the last three years in southeastern Arizona. Mac's volunteering with the Sierra Club gives him great enjoyment from the challenging work, the camaraderie of the team, the wonder of our wild places, and the satisfaction of accomplishing good by the end of the volunteer week.
