Linica Suceava began her adventures with Sierra National Outings in 2015 when she participated on a trip in Southern Yosemite and the Ritter Range. She followed up with more trips with National Outings and the Los Angeles Chapter in the Eastern Sierra and the peaks of Southern California. Her passion for preservation of the environment was ignited early in her youth by witnessing firsthand the harm caused to the river habitats by unchecked infrastructure development.Today, she is particularly interested in how local communities around public lands manage the wildland-urban interface to provide for long-term preservation of those areas. Aside from backpacking, Linica enjoys climbing, biking or just relaxing with a good book in hand.
