Lisa Katzman

Lisa Katzman has been a non-commercial rafting guide for almost 40 years and has led numerous private trips throughout California, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, Colorado, and Alaska. She was a guide trainer and conservation activist for Friends of the River for many years and currently volunteers as a Sierra Club National Outings trip leader and as a rafting guide for Inspiring Connections Outdoors. She is also an active member of the National Ski Patrol at Dodge Ridge and holds current certifications in WFR and OEC. Lisa and her husband moved to San Francisco in the mid 1970s and raised their two sons on a steady diet of adventurous rafting, hiking, backpacking and skiing trips. She believes that conservation values are learned through experience and direct interaction with wilderness, and that fun and playfulness belong on every trip.
