Lynn McNamara spent her youth exploring the woods in southeastern Massachusetts. She began a life-long love affair with the backcountry when working as research assistant on the North Slope of Alaska during her college years. As a biologist she enjoys sharing her love of nature, plants and natural history on her trips. Lynn currently lives in Montpelier, VT where she works for The Nature Conservancy and spends her free time hiking, paddling, skiing or snowshoeing in the Green Mountains.
