Mark Nelson has been leading Sierra Club trips since 2010 and has backpacked over the mountains in the Northeast, the Bitterroots, and the Sierra Nevada. He enjoys taking people into the backcountry to experience and enjoy areas that they might not venture to on their own. Leading Sierra Club trips helps others explore the beauty of nature and learn about the importance of preserving it for future generations. Mark currently resides in Vermont, and is Chair of the Vermont Chapter of the Sierra Club, a Sierra Club National Outings Training Officer, and a volunteer on the local fire and rescue squad.
