Marleen Fouché has led hiking and service trips in Newfoundland for 15 years and knows the area well. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and loves the California coast, yet every year is drawn to Newfoundland’s pristine coastal trails. She has also enjoyed leading backpack trips in California. She views Sierra Club trips as a wonderful way for people to enjoy the solitude of the outdoors but also the companionship of a group.
