Marta Chase has been leading Sierra Club National Outings in Alaska, Canadian Rockies and the Arctic, Washington, and California since 1996. Her first Sierra Club backpacking trip was to Alaska was in 1995. She has been an active leader with the Sierra Club ever since. Her delicious meals have made her famous among trip participants. Marta lives with her husband in Chapel Hill, NC. When she isn’t out traveling, Marta volunteers with Habitat for Humanity Restore in North Carolina and on Habitat Global Village builds around the world.
