Mike Abbott discovered his love of the outdoors very early in his childhood camping with his family in the Sierra Nevada. His 30 years of backpacking, fishing and rock climbing includes exploring much of the Sierra Nevada and Rocky Mountains along with the desert southwest, Alaska, British Columbia, and the Yukon. He is a dedicated Leave No Trace practitioner. He is also a big fan of good meals on the trail. Mike is a National Outdoor Leadership School graduate, Wilderness EMT, and PADI dive master. Professionally he is the President of a small engineering services firm.
