Miles Holenstein is a UX designer living in the San Francisco Bay Area, and first became involved with the Sierra Club through a trip to Clair Tappaan in Tahoe National Forest. He’s volunteered with several outdoor groups including the National Park Service, and Golden Gate National Recreation Area since 2017, and he is excited to bring his handiwork to the Sierra Club. Other outdoor hobbies of his include climbing, sailing, and backpacking. His trail name is Buckle—feel free to ask him how that came to be.
