Mitch Dion

Mitch Dion got his start as an outdoor leader in the 1970s as a boatman/river guide rowing dories on big Western rivers, including the Colorado through Grand Canyon. Later on he ran a winter survival skills program for elementary-aged students, led an Elderhostel program, and was Director of the Professional Ski and Snowboard Association in California. Memorable accomplishments: once threw a tomato slice across the Salmon River.
