Nicole Garrett-Hoppe grew up exploring remote desert and ocean wilderness in California -- silently observing nature's mysteries and absorbing the wonder. At 14 she orchestrated the first of many outdoor adventures to come for her friends. After college in the Sonoran Desert, she moved to Seattle for work in the medical device/IT fields and fortunately continued her side hustle developing new outdoor skills like canyoneering, scuba diving, mountaineering, and wing foiling. When she’s not working or being a mom to two kids, she’s learning about wild places, cooking great organic food, tinkering, traveling, and being innately curious about the different ways to analyze, influence, and protect Earth.
