Paul Minkus

Paul Minkus cherishes wild places and the pageantry of American history. He is a dedicated advocate for the preservation of both. The devoted father of a "special needs” daughter, he lives near Chicago with his wife Donna. An experienced hiker, paddler, skier, and cyclist, he has led over 45 outings for the Sierra Club including 20 cycling & 15 backpacking trips. Paul Minkus is a certified Wilderness First Responder. He is also a graduate of the 1996 Sierra Club leader training class. "My main concern as a leader is the safety and fulfillment of my participants, and I endeavor for my outings to be meaningful learning experiences". Paul works as an athletic official & recreation coordinator. In his spare time, he enjoys music, photography, and golf.
