Renée Botta lives at 8,600 feet in Colorado and cannot get enough of exploring. She has been backpacking since the 1980s and loves to think of new ways to turn delicious front-country meals into equally delicious dehydrated backcountry meals. Backpacking has taken her all over the world, including Alaska, California, Canada, Colorado, Kenya, Minnesota, Montana, Peru, and Wisconsin. She has been an advocate for wilderness preservation and environmental justice since she first discovered the healing qualities of time in the woods.
