Rudy Scheffer is originally from Germany and has lived in the US for many years. His love of the outdoors and worldwide travel started when he was an exchange student in England and France. He has traveled and led trips in many countries around the world. He is a retired IT Manager and present owner of KompuPix. He has been an active Sierra Club Outings Leader since 1988, and an active member in the Florida Chapter Executive Committee, where he has served as Chapter Chair and present Outings Chair. He also was a former volunteer Co-Chair of the National Program Safety Team and instrumental in starting the Puerto Rican Chapter Outings Program.
