Ruth Morton’s love of exploring the world began with a trip to seven European countries at age 18. Her subsequent explorations have taken her throughout North America, Europe, Mexico, South Africa, Asia, and Australia/New Zealand.
After a career leading adult learning programs, Ruth now enjoys sharing her love of the natural world by leading a range of Sierra Club trips. She has received the Club “Top Leader” honor twice. Ruth is an enthusiastic birder and is on the board of one of the largest Audubon chapters in the country. Her other interests include hiking, gardening and cooking. Ruth is a long-time resident of the Pacific Northwest where she and her husband raise an abundance of fruits and vegetables.
