Sarah Dasher has been a Sierra Club member since 2015. She worked as a middle school teacher and petroleum geologist before starting a math tutoring company. She holds degrees in geology and climate modeling. Sarah has completed solo hikes all over the American West including the John Muir, Wonderland, High Sierra and Pacific Crest Trails—as well as overseas (Haute Route, GR20, Laugavegurinn). Back East, she spent five years leading backpacking trips for adults and teens in the White Mountains of the Appalachian and was a WEMT for 14 years. Among Sarah’s other hobbies are swimming, ultramarathons and puzzles. She lives in Wichita Falls, TX.
