Stacy Goss is a San Francisco Bay Area native and began backpacking in the Sierra as a teenager. From the peaks of the Sierras she soon discovered the deserts of California and has been exploring there ever since. She retired in 2010 and now plays full time. Playing usually involves a backpack. She has been a Sierra Club member since 1989 and is a certified Wilderness First Responder.
