Steve Kelley was born and raised in central California. He was introduced to the outdoors by his parents at an early age while camping in the western United States. He has continued with his passion of being outdoors and being in nature by hiking, biking, rafting, canoeing and kayaking at every opportunity. He is certified as a Wilderness First Responder and in CPR.
