Teresa Rounds grew up camping and hiking in the deserts and mountains of California. She has backpacked extensively in Utah as well as the Sierras, and has been taking Sierra Club trips with her family since the 1960s, including to Hawaii and Alaska. She now lives in southern Utah’s redrock country, and has been exploring the region for more than 15 years. She is an avid birder and knowledgeable in many areas of natural history. She has completed the Sierra Club National Outings Leadership Training program, and is certified in Wilderness First Responder. In addition to exploring the outdoors, she loves gardening and volunteering at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
