Growing up on her grandparents' farm in southern Alberta, Terra Murdoch has always felt the influence of nature and wilderness on her life. Having an endless expanse of prairie in one direction and the Rocky Mountains in the other whetted her appetite for exploration and adventure, which eventually brought her to the west coast of British Columbia; it was in this beautiful place where her love of backpacking was truly ignited. Fast forward to the present, and she has joined the Sierra Club and gets to spend many days hiking extraordinary places, helping others "get out there," and witnessing, and perhaps even facilitating, the marvel of a first connection, or re-connection, to nature.
