Merritt Draney is a native Virginian who has lived in Hampton for over 10 years. He escapes to his sanctuary, the Blue Ridge and Allegheny mountains whenever possible to enjoy their subtle beauty. He also enjoys history, art, and photography and tries to incorporate them in his trips. The American West also draws Merritt with its rugged peaks, expansive views, and colorful canyons. He hopes to live in John Muir's footsteps and inspire others to not just enjoy the outdoors but to endeavor to protect them.
