Tim Cross is a backpacker and paddler living in the college town of Lawrence, Kansas. After an inspiring visit to Yosemite, he joined the Sierra Club in 2007, began leading trips in 2014, and instructed in the local chapter’s beginner backpacking course until 2020. He has logged considerable trail time in the Colorado Rockies, Wyoming’s Wind River Range, and the Ozarks of Arkansas and Missouri.
