Timothy Jung makes his home among the rolling hills and 10,000 lakes of Minnesota. His wilderness experience began during his youth in Minnesota’s Boundary Waters Canoe Area and the Bighorn mountains of Wyoming. He has since hiked, paddled or climbed in the Rockies, the Sierra, Alaska, Scotland, Turkey, the Himalaya and the Andes, learning something new with each trip. He is a seasoned wilderness leader who emphasizes good humor and positivity, especially when conditions are rough or the goals of the trip are ambitious. Tim joined his first Sierra Club outing more than 20 years ago, first as a participant. Why the Sierra Club? To hike with folks whose enthusiasm for the natural world trumps the occasional discomforts of wilderness travel.
