Tom Brown has a lifetime of outdoor experience. He’s a bicyclist, backpacker, fisherman, and hiker, and he’s active as a trail maintainer on the Appalachian Trail in his home state of Virginia. He has a passion for sharing the outdoors with others and believes that the best way to instill a spirit of conservation is simply to spend time with nature. In pursuit of his passion with the Sierra Club he's assisted on service trips all over the USA, multisport trips to international locations, and specialty trips for fly fishing. His favorite John Muir quote: “Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods.
