Tom Long is a former high school teacher who became active in Sierra Club outings after retirement. He has been on several Sierra trips including Exploration in the Florida Keys and service trips in South Carolina, North Carolina, and West Virginia. He has been Assistant Leader on three service trips and led Service and Whitewater in previous years. He also participated in a Chesapeake Bay Foundation service trip to Port Isobel.
