Wendy Wyels

Wendy Wyels has been around water all her life. She grew up by the ocean, was a competitive swimmer from elementary school through college, has been a whitewater raft guide for 30 years, and is an environmental scientist committed to preserving California’s water quality for future generations. In addition, Wendy is a member of a backcountry ski patrol, a wilderness volunteer for the U.S. Forest Service, and an American Red Cross instructor. She has organized and led rafting trips throughout the Western U.S. and Alaska, and especially enjoys introducing young people to the wonders of the river.
