Bill Jones has lived in Phoenix, Arizona since 1989. His backpacking experience began in 1974 as he and his brother explored many portions of the Appalachian Trail. Hiking in the Southwest is a true pleasure to him. With his brother Vince, he has been leading Southwest Sierra Club trips since 2004 along the Escalante River and on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.
