Alline Anderson went on her first Sierra Club outing in 1983; there she found a joyous group of kindred spirits and was hooked! Recruited soon after to be a leader, she began in the backpack section and has since branched out into lodge, international and service trips. A native Californian, Alline now makes her home at Dancing Rabbit EcoVillage in Northeastern Missouri. There she runs the Milkweed Mercantile, a strawbale, solar & wind-powered B&B with her husband Kurt. She reads ravenously, loves flower gardening, preserving jam and pickles, art of all kinds, and hanging out with her dog Virgil.
